Who?A course for managers, team leaders and supervisors who want to monitor and manage staff attendance effectively. Why?•To recognise the importance of conducting regular meetings with staff •To identify the skills needed to conduct an effective back to work interview •To reflect on personal practice and further develop communication skills and rapport with team members •To practise skills in a safe ans supportive environment What?By the end of the course managers will have a better understanding of how their attitudes towards absence directly impacts their behaviour. They will have developed ways to manage absence and attendance positively and proactively. They will have practised strategies to explore a situation and make their expectations known. An interactive case study will demonstrate issues faced by a manager trying to deal with a sickness absence situation. A team member has taken sick leave for a bad back, although she is often off work for a variety of reasons. The manager knows that he must have an interview with her....but she's not that easy to talk to! Gerry knew as soon as he heard her voice that she was going to announce her absence yet again. if the truth be known, Gerry had become quite used to using her office for Golfing practise.All of our courses are bespoke and originated through a process of extensive research.
